Mario is the main protagonist of the Super Mario series. He was created by Shigeru Miyamoto as the main character for the Donkey Kong arcade game. He is best known for his platforming games, but has appeared in much more. He is now the mascot of Nintendo.
Biography[]
Mario was born as one of the Star Children, kids with an "extraordinary amount of power". When he and his brother Luigi were being delivered to their parents by a stork, Kamek would interrupt the delivery and kidnap Luigi. Mario would receive help from the Yoshis, who would take him to Bowser's castle, where they would rescue Luigi. Mario would later grow up to be a carpenter, where he would then go on to save Pauline from Donkey Kong. Mario, as well as his brother Luigi, would later appear as plumbers in Mario Bros.[4], and have since been plumbers. Mario is now the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom, often rescuing Princess Peach from villains.
